Token & trust

A token with a job, not a mascot

The ZooTaxi token is the working part of the trust machine: it settles payments, backs reputations, secures disputes and keeps users private. Utility first — speculation is not the product.

Utility

Four jobs the token does every day

Payments & discounts

Any crypto is accepted and auto-converted; paying in the native token unlocks platform discounts and lower fees for both sides of a deal.

Staked reputation

Drivers, sellers and arbiters lock tokens behind their service level. The stake is the bond: misconduct is slashed, honesty compounds into rank.

Escrow & arbitration

Every deal settles through token escrow. Disputes are resolved by staked arbiters whose own funds back the fairness of their verdicts.

Private by design

Smart-wallet accounts unlocked by passkey; each user controls their own addresses. Privacy-preserving transfers are a core research track.

Identity

Your keys, your account, your animal's history

Passkey sign-in on a smart account

Unlock with Face ID or a passkey — no email, no phone, no KYC to browse and transact within legal limits. Under the hood it's an account-abstraction smart wallet, so onboarding feels like a normal app while your keys stay yours. Seed-phrase export stays available for pros.

Recovery your way — no single point of panic

Lose a device and you recover through a passkey, trusted contacts (social recovery), or your seed phrase. The 2026 standard that ended "one wrong move and it's gone".

Reputation follows the keys

Order history, reviews and stake belong to the keypair. Sell your business? Reputation is provably non-transferable without the platform's escrowed handover.

Balance-weighted trust (research)

We are testing models that weight reputation by locked balance — making a long-lived, staked account exponentially more credible than a fresh one.

Tokenomics

Draft allocation — finalized in the whitepaper

Working draft, subject to the legal structure chosen with counsel. Numbers exist to be challenged by our future partners, not to impress.

Chain selection (L2 vs. appchain), privacy technology and emission schedule are open engineering decisions documented in the whitepaper draft.

Regulatory design

A utility token, not a promise of profit

The fastest way to kill a token project is to accidentally sell a security. ZTX is engineered against that outcome from day one — here is the discipline.

Points before TGE

Until the product works, early users earn off-chain points — non-transferable, non-tradable, impossible to speculate on. They later convert into utility (discounts, early access), never into a financial claim.

Built against Howey

Value comes from using ZTX — paying fees, staking for work, unlocking access — not from the efforts of a promoter. No dividends, no yield, no buyback promises. In the EU it maps to MiCA's utility-token category (white-paper notification and AML compliance planned).

No printed rewards

Every failed marketplace token printed rewards until they were worthless (est.: Axie's SLP −99%). Our rule: incentives are funded by real fees only, and we only reward behavior we'd still want if the token fell 70%.

TGE happens only after a working product and a formal legal opinion; framework references (est., 2025-26): SEC Howey guidance, EU MiCA Art. 3(1)(9), FinCEN escrow rulings. Details: whitepaper §5 and §11.

Decentralization path

Centralized MVP, credible exit

We launch pragmatic: a centralized MVP that proves demand, with contracts and data designed for progressive hand-over — escrow first, then reputation, then governance, with user-device computation researched for the messaging and matching layers.
